The pride of indian music industry, legendary playback singer Sonu Niigaam Ji has given His soulful and golden voice for our National Anthem composed by the music director duo Salim Suleiman.. Independence Day is just around the corner and it's also the time for heightened patriotic emotions. Musician Salim Merchant along with his brother Suleiman has recorded a youthful version of our national anthem 'Jan gan man' for MTV, which is sung by Sonu Niigaam Ji, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal and Salim Merchant...
Salim Merchant added, "MTV approached us with this idea. I was really kicked about it. I felt it is fantastic to give something back to our own country. MTV chose us to represent young India. But you cannot really change the anthem. So we have done it in contemporary manner only. It is very youthful with very little liberty to make it sound young. We have done it in term of instruments guitar and piano in very minimal manner..."
