Sonu Niigaam Ji & other Bollywood singers pay tribute to Naushad Ali ...

On legendary music composer Naushad Ali’s fourth death anniversary, various musicians came forward to pay their tributes at the memorial organised at Bandra on May 5.
Getting nostalgic, Sonu Niigaam Ji said, “On May 5, 2006, I was at the Himalayas when I heard about his demise. Standing there alone, I sang a song in his remembrance.” Sonu Ji captivated the audience with Nain lad jaihe and Madhuban mein radhika nache...
Hariharan, recalled his long association with Naushad. “I have been fortunate that I got the chance to work with him. He would call me Hariya in the rehearsal room.”

Hariharan sang a song from the 2005 release, Taj Mahal, one of Naushad’s last works. Hariharan also recited a few of Naushad shayaris.

The late Mohammed Rafi and late Mahindra Kapoor had sung Kaisi haseen aaj baharoon ki raat hain together for the 1968 movie, Aadmi. On Naushad’s memorial, their sons, Shahid Rafi and Rohan Kapoor, came together to recreate the magic.
Kapoor reminisced, “The experience was unbelievable. Shahid and I are good friends and we meet frequently. We decided to sing the duet just two days before the memorial.”

Various other musicians such as Kersi Lord, Franco Vaz and Shabbir Kumar, who worked with Naushad during his lifetime, were also present to pay tribute...

Our tribute and shat shat naman to the legendary musician and a kind hearted human being Naushad Sahab... He will always remain alive in our hearts...
